B2 Bistro Adds Number 5
TOMS RIVER: B2 Bistro + Bar has acquired its fifth restaurant with the acquisition of the Tuscan House located at 120 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, Ocean County, New Jersey, directly across from the Ocean County Mall, according to Barry Bielat of Bielat Santore & Company, Allenhurst, New Jersey, the broker for the sale. B2 Bistro already has locations in Point Pleasant Beach, Red Bank, North Brunswick, New Jersey and in West Reading, Pennsylvania. “With all the news of businesses and restaurants that have closed this year, it’s great to see a brand new one opening in 2020,” continues Bielat. This is the seventh substantial restaurant real estate sale the Allenhurst commercial real estate firm has made during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring a new restaurant and new jobs to Ocean County in these very trying times for small businesses,” said Stephen Valentine, managing partner of the B2 Bistro + Bar restaurant group. Our recent experience operating four restaurants through pandemic mandated shutdowns and then under strict safety protocols means we are ready and able to bring the same level of safety, not-to-mention fantastic food, and service to Toms River.”
B2 Bistro centers it’s menu around a wood-burning oven where dishes, as well as specialty pizzas, are prepared. The concept is based on bistro-style cooking in the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Greece and other Mediterranean countries. At B2 guests experience delectable garden-to-table bistro-style creations complemented by an exceptional assortment of craft beer, eclectic wines and artfully prepared cocktails. B2 Bistros are open for outdoor and indoor restaurant dining as well as curbside order pickup. Home delivery is additionally available at most locations.
The restaurant will undergo major renovations including a new bar area, glass garage doors leading out to the patio, an open kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven, grill and sushi station along with new exterior finishes and a new private event space expansion. At full capacity, the Toms River restaurant will be able to seat 284 and offer an 80-guest banquet and a new patio for al-fresco dining. Restaurant dining will continue during the “strategically phased” renovation period.
