Jersey Shore’s Top Rated Steakhouse Changes Hands
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ: The New Jersey coastline has made a monumental recovery after Hurricane Sandy hit in the fall of 2012. Much of the New Jersey’s precious coastline was obliterated by the storm and some of it gone forever. However, on a small inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, separating Point Pleasant Beach in Ocean County and the Borough of Brielle in Monmouth County sits a sophisticated little steakhouse called “Shipwreck Point.” The restaurant had been battered by Sandy, and was totally remodeled thereafter. “It now has new owners,” reports Richard R. Santore of, Bielat Santore & Company, Allenhurst, New Jersey, the broker for the sale.
Shipwreck Point is an upscale Steakhouse located on the Manasquan Inlet, at 20 Inlet Drive in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. Every element of Shipwreck Point is designed to impress. From the ambience of finely crafted materials, intimate lighting and warm fireplaces to the friendliness of the expert staff, an exquisite menu and wine list. Shipwreck Point is one of the very few to deliver a first class Steakhouse experience at the Jersey Shore.
Several cuts of prime and dry aged meats, a diverse wine list of rare and contemporary vintages, modern and traditional side dishes and homemade desserts are featured on the menu. The restaurant also serves the seafood you would expect at the shore complimented by an ocean fresh raw bar. Highly trained bartenders serve a variety of domestic and imported specialty beers and inventive cocktails to augment an exclusive wine list.
The new proprietors hail from Morris County, New Jersey and are fulfilling a long-time aspiration to own and operate a restaurant at the New Jersey shore. Although most of their experience lies within the catering business, they bring with them a seasoned veteran in the restaurant business, who for over 25 years worked and/or managed the renowned northern New Jersey restaurant, Pal’s Cabin. “We purchased a refined restaurant operation. We don’t plan on making any immediate changes. We will be onsite every day, to welcome and serve our guests and to become familiar with their wants and needs. We intend to treat every customer as if they were a guest in our home,” state the new owners.
Whether it’s an after work or dinner drink at the bar or a meal to celebrate and remember, Shipwreck Point is the destination of the sophisticated diner. Open 6 days a week for dinner, Tuesday-Sunday until May, and thereafter for the summer, 7 days a week for dinner.
