Changing of the Guard
BRADLEY BEACH, NJ: Since 2001, Citricos, located at 812 Main Street, Bradley Beach, New Jersey has served good traditional Southern Italian charm and cuisine to its patrons. Although Citricos may be considered to be located within a seasonal marketplace, this well-received Mediterranean Italian Grille has enjoyed a year-round following that its founder, Michael D’Angelo, has built and nurtured with over 15 years of hard work, word class recipes and impeccable hospitality.
According to Joseph Denker, of Bielat Santore & Company, Allenhurst, New Jersey, the agent involved in the sale, “this sale was an emotional decision for Michael, but after almost 40 years in the restaurant business, 15 of those years at Citricos, he felt it was time to hand the reigns over.” The restaurant has been sold to the team of Danny Kerr and Patricia Cox who will both work closely with Mr. D’Angelo to ensure that the clientele at the restaurant experience the same quality food and warm hospitality they have come to know and expect. Many loyal customers have already met the new owners and have taken kindly to them.
Danny and Trisha bring with them over four decades, collectively of experience in the restaurant business. They have no plans to change anything about the restaurant. The menu at Citricos includes delicious Italian and Mediterranean favorites created from scratch with fresh-from-the-market ingredients. Hearty soups and amazing appetizers are a top the menu, but are directly followed by a selection of steak, chicken, pasta, fish, veal, homemade desserts and more. In addition, many creative specials are presented with the menu each night. The new owners will supervise everything in the kitchen and in the dining room making sure each customer is treated like a guest in their home.
Citricos is open Monday through Saturday for dinner only. The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
